In a recent post I looked at creating a cracked skin effect in Photoshop. That tutorial focused on placing textures over a portrait and then using blend modes to make the two images look like one. This tutorial is very similar.
To create Tiger Queen the following techniques were used:
- Using channels to create selections
- Using layer masks to hide parts of an image
- Using blend modes
- Hue / Saturation adjustment layers
- Creating custom brushes to paint your own whiskers
This tutorial is a little long for step by step processes but I have created a video to show the process. This is a great tutorial to bring together lots of core techniques and tools within Photoshop.
